We are a full service private investigation firm providing process service to the San Francisco Bay Area of California including San Mateo County, San Francisco County, Marin County, Alameda County, Santa Clara County, Santa Cruz County and Contra Costa County.

Our goal is to provide legal support services in a prompt, efficient and cost-effective manner.  Our area of service extends to the entire state of California.  We offer quick and dependable processing of many types of documents. Our standard service turn-around time is three to seven days after the receipt of the document(s).  Rush and Same Day services are also available. 

Excelsior Services, Inc. will gladly pick up documents from the court of issue, attorney's office or client's location for service to individuals, companies or institutions as required although we prefer that documents be mailed to us, when possible.  We also provide filing services with the courts and copies to the attorney of record, according to the client's request. 

As a full-service private investigation firm, we can offer a level of performance not found with most standard process service companies.  With access to dozens of computer databases, including the Department of Motor Vehicles database, Excelsior Services, Inc. is consistently able to complete service of process where others fail.  We approach every assignment as if it will be a "hard serve" and perform the necessary background research to maximize our effectiveness. 

Fees: 

Our standard process service rate within the San Francisco Bay Area is $70.00 per hour.  This is a flat rate for each attempt. For locates, surveillance and other forms of investigations: $90.00 -  per hour, plus expenses,billed in fifteen minute increments.

Additional Fees: 

The following charges may apply.  Please contact us if you have any questions. 

• Notary Public-  If you require that a proof of service be notarized, please include an additional $20.00 per document.

• Rates are per summons/subpoena except in the case where more than one document is going to the same person at the same time.  

• In cases where the address provided is incorrect, we will determine the correct address for an additional investigative fee of $90.00 per hour, billed in fifteen minute increments, plus expenses.  Most locates cost approximately $225.00.

• Service attempts in which we are unable to locate the person or entity because the address is incorrect or no such person/entity exists at that address will be returned as "unable to locate" and billed at stated rates.

Please visit our Case Information Form and mail or fax it to us at your convenience.  Fill out the forms to the best of your ability, sign the contract and fax or mail everything back to us. We will begin work as soon as we receive the information, a signed contract and a retainer, along with the court documents, and your court's "proof of service" document.
